on 24th october online quiz was held whereby the student were taken to IT lab and were all pervided with questions in their respective Emails. The students were taught how to type save and submit their answers online. This not only helped them with Knowledge of Quiz but also  inculcated in them some computing values. The quiz was such that they were although to search the answers in Google but time limit was kept which also increased their time management skills. The lesson was fruitful as the students got to explore through their quiz questions in a broader way.

Opportunity for my students to download educative videos from internet to enhance their learning.

on 9th October 2019, i initiated a program whereby all my students were given an opportunity to learn how to download online videos and at the same time got to learn new thins from the videos.

" Dear madam
It is good that you have used ICT to deliver your lesson. Keep it up la. I feel instead of teacher downloading video from sources, how about making students to download by themselves so that they learn computing skills. I feel it would be worth learning la. My feelings la."

i took my students to IT lab and divided them into three group. since the lesson for the day was on Food and Nutrition , i asked them to surf them on YouTube for different types of educative videos on that very topic. i gave them the website name containing rhymes on the topic i was going to teach and taught them how to download the videos . after downloading the videos we all sat together and watched the video . all the students said it was very informative and they enjoyed learning!

Reflection of Science lesson

on 20th September  I did science lesson on the topic , " Energy in our daily life" . As usual I carried out mind training to gain the students attention for 2 minutes . After the meditation , I asked questions from previous lesson .
To make them understand about the topic and to carry out the activity in group , I have demonstrated the lesson by showing the different pictures through the ppt in with the help of projector. After the demonstration I took them to watch short video in SEN room about Energy in our daily life. I too observed , interpreted and asked questions to make them understand .

Integrating ICT in my lesson on 9th September made a great difference .

Reflection of my ICT based- teaching on 9 th sept 2019 monday

Earlier on friday 6th september i had tried teaching this topic . But since the topic was new for class 5 students . They couldn't grasp the lesson. They were surprised to hear new words like waning and waxing cresent. So i felt that they needed something which would help them visualize and explore . So that they understand better. So i thought that integrating ICT in this particular lesson would be extremely helpful. There fore i made a power point presentation on the phases of the moon. Then since i had made video tutorial by myself on this very topic so i added it to the presentation. In addition i downloaded short animated videos and pictures to have a clear picture of the topic. So on Monday when I actually presented , i could see my students enjoying the teaching and most importantly they understood very well. Kinga wangchuck , an obedient student of the class came to me and said that he really enjoyed the session . He said that he felt as if he was seeing the phases of the moon in real.
Next day when i asked the Students questions on the very topic that i had taught on Monday , there were able to give me quick intelligent answers. Infact, Integrating ICT in my teaching made a great difference.

My reflection on " The use of ICT while i taught my students in  the classroom."

ICT is very useful and so was it in my teaching lesson. My students could explore more, visualize and understand better when i  integrated ICT while teaching  in my classroom  . Its an application of modern technology to interact and share information among my students and develop learning through technology. As one of the ICT functions is to help people developing education, it was really good for my students to develop their knowledge in a easier and convenient way.. Moreover, through ICT, the work on the job field can be done more effectively. As a teacher it helped me develop material and the way of teaching to the students by elaborating the element of the subject in order that the material is easy received by the students. So far, ICT has given easiness to run the teaching learning process.

I feel ICT has positive impact on students’ performances . Even research shows that  Schools with higher level of e-maturity show a rapid increase in performances in scores compared to those with lower level. In addition, schools with sufficient ICT resources achieved better results than those that are not well-equipped.  There is a significant improvement on learners’ performances.  In fact,  pupils are more motivated when computers and Internet are being used in class.

In my classroom many pupils consider ICT tools very helpful in that it helps them to do assignments and increases their thinking capacity  and imagination by getting to watch  animated videos lessons in their classroon teachers see that ICT enables students with special needs or difficulties. It also helps to reduce the social disparities between pupils, since they work in teams in order to achieve a given task. Students also assume responsibilities when they use ICT to organize their work through digital portfolios or projects. ICT has significant impact on teachers and teaching processes.

Information and communication technologies are currently being used in education to assist students to learn more effectively by providing teachers with access to a wide range of new pedagogy. These technologies are also being used to enable teachers to do administrative tasks more efficiently.


When technology is integrated into lessons, students tends to be more interested in the subjects they are studying. Technology provides different opportunities to make learning more fun and enjoyable in terms of teaching same things in new ways.

Students interact with technology while off the campus, so integrating this technology into classrooms will simply make it very easy for them to learn.

Therefore i felt that integrating ICT in classroom is one of the best ways for better Teaching-Learning process !

ICT Integration in the classroom. 
ICT integration in education is not about technology but teaching. It is the teacher's innovativeness that makes lesson delivery meaningful. 
ICT based teaching-learning makes the lesson easier to understand, meaning and interesting .
when students are unable to understand a particular concept, we can make use of video lessons, animated videos on that concept and additional images and notes which makes understanding easier and meaningful.
The purpose of integrating ICT is to improve the quality of teaching and learning and to equip learners with 21st century skills.
Students can gain the skills they will need to be successful in the future. Modern learning is about collaborating with others, solving complex problems, critical thinking, developing different forms of communication and leadership skills, and improving motivation and productivity.
Nowadays the role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), in theeducation sector plays an important role, especially in the process of empowering the technology into the educational activities.“ICT plays a catalytic role in enhancing learning in classroom and beyond".
ICT is a meaningful  tool in teaching and learning process in today's world.
